Hi, welcome to my site which should hopefully expand in the coming weeks and months.
As you will read in the following pages I've been teaching, as well as playing, for a considerable amount of time and for the most part it's been an extremely enjoyable occupation, fairly devoid of the dull moments that are so often an inevitable part of so many jobs.
Whether you are a beginner, someone who's reached a musical cul-de-sac, or a guitarist who would like to try a different playing style then please feel free to contact me.

Teaching method (in brief)
I teach, and have always taught, a variety of musical styles in a way that suits the individual best - although in the case of young children starting out it's best to learn music reading skills (which I incorporate into the lessons) together with building up a good playing technique. For the guitarists who are adamant that they have no intention of trying to fathom out music notation I do use TAB as well as chord diagrams, and if someone asks me to teach them how to play a certain song (chords and/or lead guitar part) I don't insist they learn a series of scales or modes first.
Ultimately, the most important part is that you enjoy the whole process of learning and playing, and that you gain a sense of achievement and satisfaction from the lessons.
